Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

The most beautiful hotel in Gran Canaria! We are currently staying in this and honestly have no complaints whatsoever. To start with, upon check in we were greeted by a very kind individual named Eduardo. He was very welcoming and accommodating. Our room, 139 was extremely spacious, had a kettle, coffee maker and an endless selection of tea to choose from which is great for us Brits! Housekeeping came daily and left the room spotless each time, in addition they replenished the coffee pods and tea. The cleaner was kind and smiley. Seems we scored lucky as our balcony was huge. The gym is great, has lots of equipment for all different work outs. The staff in there were amazing and gave me a towel everyday. We have not yet tried the breakfast but have heard great things. We will leave a review if we do decide to go there :) All of our interactions with staff have been friendly and positive. Overall every single ask has been met! We cannot thank the staff enough for going above and beyond!

A 5 Star Experience at its magnificent best. This hotel is one of those truly wonderful gems that one is to find when choosing a holiday hotel. The premesis is a restored British landmark that was sympathetically restored in the 20th century. The opulence and stunning architecture is brought alive by the warmth and professionalism of it’s staff. PR manager Manuel has performed a minor triumph in bringing together a top highly motivated team. The hotel boasts a very well equipped fitness gym and an equally impressive Hydrotherapy Spa second to none. The breakfast staff, front desk staff, bar waiters all amazing. . Grateful thanks aswell to all the Spa Staff & Carlos one of the masseurs.Best deep tissue and reflexology treatment I have ever had. If you enjoy a restful charming luxury break in beautiful gardens you won’t even have to move out of the hotel. A Half Board deal is definitely worth considering. WOW ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a wonderful experience in this truly awesome hotel in the centre of Las Palmas, near a beautiful park. Amazing views from roof top terrace and delicious handmade cocktails. Service was efficient, friendly & professional throughout the hotel

We were delighted on arrival at the hotel as the building is stunning as are many of the rooms on the ground floor . The gardens are also absolutely beautiful. However we were very disappointed with the room , described as a superior double . This was small and dark due to the badly thought out lighting It was also lacking in storage . There were two drawers in the wardrobe which could not be opened unless the door was fully closed , this was not possible unless the adjacent door was also fully closed - very annoying . The balcony was very tiny with a couple of very uncomfortable dining type chairs and a small tables. There was no view when one was sitting down as it was surrounded by thick wooden post fence . Very unappealing indeed . We upgraded to half board after a couple of days . This was a grave mistake as it allowed us to eat at only one of the restaurants where the menu was extremely limited and very much not to our taste . However we could use either of the two Michelin restaurants had we wished to pay an additional £200 odd £s per person !! However the breakfast was superb . A huge selection of cooked food , continental , pastries etc . . We found the staff very charming and helpful in all departments. Particularly the man in black at the poolside bar, whose name I can’t remember and also Leticia the lifeguard who was in charge of sun beds and towels . She obviously loved her job and her customers and went beyond the call of duty every day . She really made the holiday special for us . Incidentally food at the pool bar was very good but sadly this closed at 6pm . Overall this hotel is certainly not worth the prices charged and we will certainly not be making a return visit . We strongly recommend giving it a miss .

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We were lucky to be upgraded so this made the stay even better. Beautiful hotel outside and inside.

The hotal and facilities are nice, but some of the staff let it down. During our stay there was a lot going on including a visit from the king of Spain, but it was difficult at times to feel like a valued guest. The Wellness centre is great and I would use this again if I was in Las Palmas, but I'm not sure I would stay again. The addition of a roof top rave on our final night alongside fireworks, which went on well into the early hours also soured the visit a bit... just not what I would expect from a 5* facility. It was difficult to sleep.

Nice experience, nice accommodation with a interest history. Good services , friendly people. Nice swimmingpool.
